Media and Appearances

Sharon February 15th, 2008

Upcoming Appearances:

I will be speaking and giving a workshop on low energy food preservation at Monticello, at the Heritage Harvest Festival on Saturday September 11

I will be at the American Society for the Study of Peak Oil’s annual Conference in Washington DC October 7-9.

I will be at an event exploring the full implications of Urban Adapting in Place in New Haven, CT on October 22-23 - more details to follow.

For environmental and family reasons I try and limit my travel, but I do give public talks on many subjects - overview presentations on the intersection between peak oil, climate change and the financial crisis, evaluations of our food security and agricultural future, presentations on food storage and preservation, and on growing medicinal plants.  I also give talks on urban-rural ties and poverty issues, on religious perspectives on depletion and how families and children can adapt to new realities.  Please contact me at [email protected] to arrange a talk.
