    Great piece – congrats!

    Funny, though – I never pictured you with glasses, lol.

    Good on ya!

    @Kestral: it’s a disguise. She can see a really long way ahead … ;)

    Good article.

    But this is too wild… Aaron is our farmer! I’m eating some soup made from his produce as I write this. I knew he’d written a book, but I haven’t had a chance to get it yet… now I guess I have to get it twice over. :)

    Thank you so much Sharon for being true to your values and convictions and shouting the virtues of farming and growing food from the rooftops! When each of us, one by one by one take up the spade and the trowel, we will be the better for it individually and collectively as a nation.

    I have an urban city lot. I grow five apple trees, 6 blueberries, a ton of strawberries, and several types of vegetables- brockley, leeks, potatoes, etc.
    My life and health as a result is so much better that before I picked up the gardening bug. I get sun, soil, and spiritual fulfillment- and Monsanto gets nothing!

    FYI There’s an advertisement in GRIT for 75 acre off grid farm with 5 bedroom home etc near Rich Hill, Mo.
    The property is located near an Old Order Mennonite community. Actual price negotiable. You can call 417-385-8917 for more specific information. While I’m aware of area, I don’t know the owners. They are older and plan to relocate.

    There’s a good article about home schooling on ClubOrlov’s site.

  7. Kat says:

    Thanks for sharing that, BettyJane. A very interesting article. I didn’t realize that other countries were having the same issues with schooling.

  8. Kevin says:

    Good interview, Sharon. Thanks for pointing us to it. And now I know both what you look and sound like.

    Just picked up the copy my library got on interlibrary loan. Haven’t gotten too far into it yet but I’m liking it! Can’t wait to try out some of the recipes, too!
